Devour

A poem by Raea Nyxx

Food of gold

Divine aroma

Dear tongue

Indulge deeply

Onto these velvety delights

Saliva inducing treats.

Lose all sight

Bring on the dark perfection,

Royal precision

Required to make such delicate delicacies.

Masks of New Orleans

Beauty and mystique unseen.

Turn the famished

Into famous,

Lift the weak

To the strong.

Diamond cuttlery

Castle furnishings

Victorian candles

Lighting the shadow scenery.

Casting light

Onto beauty

Like moonlight,

Bring the senses to new heights

Like the sun in the daytime sky

Then blotted out.

Like a vampire hex

Life can be complex

But gourmet cuisines

Are gore filled treats.

When the wolves

Dine.

Upon.

The.

Sheep.
